그러다 힙합에 관심이 생기고, 중학교때 아는 형들과 녹음한 곡을 인터넷에 올리기 시작

 

이 곡을 듣게 된 슬리피가 빅히트 프로듀서인 피독에게 소개시켜줌

이를 본 방시혁은 알엠을 필두로 힙합 그룹을 만들겠다고 결심

빅히트 엔터테인먼트의 프로듀서 부분과 래퍼 부분 두 분야에 지원해 합격

 

경제적으로 넉넉하지 못해, 배달 아르바이트를 하다 어깨를 다치기도 하고, 

빅히트가 학비를 지원해주기도함

I was in a hip-hop crew.
I applied for two areas, Big Hit Entertainment's producer and rapper, and passed.

제이홉

 

 

데뷔 전 광주에서 춤으로 유명했었음

 

빅히트가 제이홉이 다니고 있는 댄스 학원에 연습생을 캐스팅하러 오게 됨

 

학생들에게 카메라를 설치한 뒤 혼자 춤을 추고 있으라 하고,

2~3시간 뒤에 돌아온 직원이 여전히 춤을 추고 있는 제이홉을 보고 

얘는 뭘 해도 되겠다 싶어 캐스팅

 

예고 학생들 사이에서 방탄소년단 데뷔조는 제이홉이 있는 팀으로 유명했음
